Bigleaf Maple Pinch Bowl and Charcuterie spoon set
Made of hand-carved / hand-turned Bigleaf Maple (Acer macrophyllum), a common and beautiful native tree. Perfect for holding whatever "pinch" of something you need at the table, whether it's dried rosemary for soup, parmesan cheese, or finishing salt. The tiny bowl is also great for holding small special treasures (like earrings, or tiny beach rocks).
Each set (one bowl and one spoon) comes in a small recyclable gift box. All are finished with a natural and food-safe blend of linseed oil and beeswax. Each spoon and bowl is slightly different, as is the nature of handmade objects. Embrace it!
Hand wash only.
About Bigleaf Maple
The Bigleaf Maple tree is a beautiful and enthusiastic tree native to the Pacific Northwest, and is just as likely to be found in parks and neglected lots as it is our local forest ecosystems. Its companions are many kinds of mosses and lichens (in some cases, a maple leaf’s moss load can weigh more than 4x the weight of its actual leaves!), as well as spunky licorice fern. The yellow blossoms are lovely harbingers of spring, and the abundant “helicopter”-shaped seeds are an important food source for Douglas squirrels and many species of birds. The fallen leaves provide crucial cover for overwintering invertebrates and amphibians.
